Best Car Rental Companies in Chania for a Week (2026)
Guide facts reviewed
Quick answer
For a seven-day Chania rental, compare the complete dated quote, pickup arrangement, deposit and damage excess. AutoClub describes an airport shuttle, Avance lists a terminal desk, and several local operators offer airport delivery. Reisen requires funds for a deposit; Apex's included CDW has a deductible. An insurance label alone does not settle your liability.
What this guide covers
This guide compares the original ten companies advertising Chania or Chania Airport car rental. It focuses on a week-long booking, but does not contain live seven-day prices or a tested service ranking. Airport delivery, shuttle pickup and a terminal desk are different arrangements.

The options in detail
Use the same seven-day dates, driver details and vehicle class for every quote. A useful comparison includes handover, card requirements, cover exclusions, fuel and the return procedure.
-
1. RoadCrete Car Rental Chania
RoadCrete describes vehicle delivery at Chania Airport and requires a 10% prepayment, with the balance paid on arrival. Its cover information has exceptions for some luxury groups and excludes off-road use. Those limits matter when comparing an inclusive-looking weekly quote.
Consider for: Airport delivery with a booking prepayment.
Before booking: Confirm the vehicle group, included cover, exclusions and payment arrangements for your dates.
-
2. AutoClub Car Rentals Chania
AutoClub describes an office near Chania Airport and a free shuttle between the terminal and its premises. Its fleet includes manual and automatic choices. This is an off-terminal collection arrangement rather than a promise of a desk inside arrivals.
Consider for: A nearby airport office and shuttle.
Before booking: Ask where to meet the shuttle, what happens after a delayed flight and which transmission is reserved.
-
3. Reisen Car Rentals Chania
Reisen advertises delivery to Chania Airport, Chania hotels and Souda Port. Its payment information requires a credit or debit card with funds for the deposit; the site distinguishes blocking credit-card funds from debiting a debit card. Its CDW also has group-dependent excess and exclusions.
Consider for: Chania-area delivery with explicit deposit terms.
Before booking: Check the deposit amount, card treatment, driver eligibility and cover exclusions for the selected class.
-
4. Autohire Chania
Autohire's booking form offers Chania Airport and town pickup choices, alongside other locations. Its fleet listings distinguish manual and automatic cars and include larger vehicles. Compare the confirmed collection point and category rather than assuming that every location works identically.
Consider for: Airport or town pickup choices.
Before booking: Confirm the handover point, chosen transmission, payment method and return instructions in writing.
-
5. Cretarent Chania
Cretarent describes delivery at Chania Airport coordinated with the flight information supplied in the reservation, and airport collection of the vehicle on return. Example daily starting prices on the page are not a quote for your full seven-day booking.
Consider for: Flight-coordinated airport delivery.
Before booking: Provide flight details and ask for the full weekly total, including any late-delivery or extra-service charges.
-
6. Chania Rent a Car
Chania Rent a Car describes a vehicle waiting in the airport parking area for collection. It also offers pickup services around Chania and resort areas. The handover location and cover package should be confirmed for the reservation, rather than inferred from a broad homepage promise.
Consider for: Airport-parking collection.
Before booking: Get the meeting instructions and the included cover, excess and exclusions for your booking.
-
7. GoKissamos Car Rental Chania
GoKissamos advertises delivery to Chania Airport, the port, hotels and villas. Its fleet includes smaller cars and larger passenger vehicles. The delivery destination and vehicle group need to be agreed as part of the quote for the week.
Consider for: Airport, port or accommodation delivery.
Before booking: Confirm delivery to the actual address, any location charge, driver eligibility and the written cover conditions.
-
8. Best Cars Rental Chania
Best Cars offers dated online quotes or a custom request and describes Chania Airport delivery and collection. Its booking information mentions a 10% advance payment. An advertised fleet example does not guarantee a particular model or a particular weekly rate.
Consider for: A dated quote and airport delivery.
Before booking: Compare the agreed seven-day total, advance payment and cancellation conditions before confirming.
-
9. Avance Rent a Car Chania Airport
Avance's Chania Airport location page lists a desk in the terminal and publishes branch opening hours. That is distinct from a remote office or delivery meeting point. Airport arrival time still needs to fit the branch's confirmed handover arrangements.
Consider for: A terminal-desk pickup.
Before booking: Check the branch hours and late-arrival procedure for your flight, plus deposit and cover terms.
-
10. Apex Car Rentals Chania
Apex describes Chania Airport pickup and drop-off on request. Its listed inclusions include CDW with a deductible that varies by car group, as well as mileage and a second driver. Included CDW therefore does not by itself mean a zero-excess booking.
Consider for: Requested airport handover with stated CDW terms.
Before booking: Ask for the deductible and exclusions for the actual group, and confirm the requested airport handover.
How to choose
Choose the pickup arrangement that works with your flight, then compare the whole seven-day cost and the written conditions. Reisen's deposit policy and Apex's CDW deductible show why included cover should not be read as universal zero liability. For late flights, ask about staffing, handover fees and delay handling before paying.
Frequently asked questions
Which company is cheapest for a week?
This guide does not contain live seven-day quotes, so it cannot name a cheapest company. Enter identical dates, times, driver details and vehicle class, then compare the full total including cover, pickup, additional drivers and any return charges.
Are all pickups inside Chania Airport?
No. Avance lists a terminal desk, AutoClub describes a nearby office with a shuttle, and several local operators describe airport delivery or parking-area handover. Ask for the actual meeting instructions before arrival.
Does included insurance mean there is no excess?
No. Apex states that its CDW deductible depends on the car group. Reisen also lists excess and exclusions, while RoadCrete gives exceptions to its cover information. Read the policy for the vehicle and booking you choose.
Can I rent without a deposit or credit card?
Conditions differ. Reisen says a credit or debit card needs funds for a deposit and treats the two card types differently. Check the named driver's accepted card, deposit and package conditions with each operator rather than applying one company's advert to all rentals.
What should I confirm for a late flight?
Ask where to meet, how flight delays are handled, who will be available, and whether late handover adds a fee. Cretarent requests flight information and Avance publishes branch hours; those details should be checked against your actual arrival.
