Top 10 Coffee Shops in Spain (2026)

Which Spanish coffee stop fits your visit?

Compare the actual café and the service you want. NOMAD Frutas Selectas, East Crema Sorní, D·Origen Casa Calvet and Boconó X-Madrid combine coffee with food in different formats. Hola Lagasca, Toma, Morrow Gran Via, La Finca, Syra Balmes and Virgen Coffee add coffee-led visits with branch-specific conditions. Boconó’s current café is in Alcorcón, outside central Madrid. Kima and SlowMov remain useful roasting, retail and training context while current on-site café service is unverified.

How to use this shortlist

Ten positive coffee-serving choices span Barcelona, Madrid and Alcorcón, Valencia, Granada and Seville. Choose the exact branch, coffee format, food service and visit conditions; an online roaster, training venue or bean-collection point is a different purpose from a café visit. Original selections Kima and SlowMov remain separate roastery and retail context. The groups describe fit for a visit, without an independently tasted quality score.

Kima Coffee — current status

Kima is a Málaga specialty roaster selling seasonal coffee and offering hospitality supply, barista education and brewing training. The award publisher’s exact listing gives Calle Carretería 67 and links the current operator. The reviewed operator pages do not establish current coffee-serving service at that address, numerical café hours or a sit-down food menu. Retain Kima for roasting, beans and training enquiries, and confirm public café service before planning an on-site drink. This context is outside the ten café choices.

SlowMov — current status

SlowMov’s published shop address is Neptú 36 in Barcelona. Founded by François and Carmen in 2015, the business describes seasonal roasting, whole-bean and ground coffee, subscriptions, machinery, menu and recipe support and training. Producer relationships and packaging practices are operator statements, rather than universal organic or environmental certification. Current on-site coffee-serving service, a numerical café timetable and sit-down food menu were not established. Use info@slowmov.com for the intended retail or training enquiry; this original context is outside the ten café choices.

Choose the branch and the intended service

Choose a real coffee-serving branch for the intended visit, then compare the food format, preparation and opening pattern. A bean-collection point, roaster shop, training session or online subscription is a different use. Kima and SlowMov retain their original wider coffee purposes without being counted as confirmed café stops.

For food alongside coffee, compare the actual menu at NOMAD, East Crema Sorní, D·Origen Casa Calvet or Boconó X-Madrid. D·Origen’s longer café day does not extend every food category beyond 15:00; Boconó’s brunch refills and individual-food-plate rules are specific to its current menu.

Use the named branch and current notice. NOMAD Frutas Selectas and Virgen publish Sunday closures, Toma 3 is a weekday collection-only point, and Morrow and Syra schedules differ by branch. Boconó’s former Lavapiés address is historical; its current café is in Alcorcón.

Questions before you choose

Is NOMAD Frutas Selectas open Sunday?

Its current branch page says Sunday closed; Petit NOMAD has a different seven-day schedule.

Which choices include food?

NOMAD describes pastries, sandwiches and lunch; East Crema Sorní describes brunch and toast. D·Origen Casa Calvet has sandwiches, classics, sourdough toast, bowls and sweets, with 08:30–15:00 printed for classics, toast and bowls. Boconó X-Madrid advertises an all-day menu and brunch, with its own food-sharing, refill and laptop rules.

Are all three Toma locations cafes?

No. Toma 3/Proper Sound is listed for weekday coffee collection only, unlike Toma 1 and Toma 2.

Can I reserve D’Origen Casa Calvet?

The exact café at Casp 48 publishes walk-in service without reservations. Its Monday–Saturday 08:30–20:00 café opening is separate from the 08:30–15:00 heading for classics, sourdough toast and bowls. A walk-in policy does not guarantee a table.

Are Kima and SlowMov confirmed sit-down cafe visits?

Current reviewed operator services establish roasting, retail and training; exact current cafe hours and sit-down food are not established.

Can I use another Morrow or Syra branch schedule?

No. Morrow Gran Via and Roger de Flor are distinct, and Syra hours are branch-specific.

Are La Finca opening hours verified?

The current contact page confirms coffee and artisan pastries on site at Colegio Catalino 3, but no numerical café timetable was established. Confirm the hours for a timed visit directly.

Is the order an independently tasted quality ranking?

No. The retained selection is assessed by published services and conditions; it is not a measured coffee-quality ranking.

Is Boconó still a café at Embajadores 3 in Lavapiés?

The operator’s own history says it left that premises on 30 June 2026. Its currently listed open café is X-Madrid, Calle Oslo 53, local 29-B, Alcorcón, outside central Madrid. It has not announced a new central-Madrid street or opening date.

Can I use a laptop or get unlimited coffee at Boconó?

The X-Madrid menu does not allow laptops or long stays without consuming, and food plates are individual. Coffee refills apply to the stated brunch combos while that brunch lasts; they are not an unrestricted offer for every drink or visit.

How we selected these places

We compared these Spanish coffee businesses using their published branch information, drinks and food service, menus and material visit conditions. Ten choices support a coffee-serving visit; Kima and SlowMov are separate roasting, retail and training context. The groups describe the intended visit, without an independently tasted coffee-quality score. Check the named branch’s latest notice for opening changes and the current menu for prices and availability.
