Choose lunch dim sum or the full evening experience

Lunch orders individual dim-sum pieces, with the operator suggesting around eight to ten pieces per person. A separate Dim Sum Degustation with beverage flight is also offered. Dinner uses the Collections of China tasting format rather than the lunch à la carte menu.

Collections of China takes approximately three hours and presents regional Chinese cooking across an extended sequence. The restaurant advises against pre-theatre dinner. Choose the reservation’s exact format rather than assuming dim sum means a quick meal.

Recognition and dietary limits

MICHELIN’s 2026 London star list places A. Wong in its two-star category. Harden’s 2026 national diners’ poll lists A Wong at number 29 across all cuisines. These are different publishers and methods, not a combined score or a claim that TRP has eaten here.

The menu expressly says food allergies cannot be catered for because of some dried and fermented ingredients, while food intolerances can be discussed. The FAQ says gluten appears throughout and there is no vegan menu. Vegetarian lunch choices and a vegetarian evening format do not override those restrictions.

Plan the party and reservation

A. Wong requires 72 hours’ cancellation notice. Its FAQ lists late-cancellation/no-show charges of £100 for à la carte lunch, £220 for Dim Sum Degustation and £235 for Collections of China per guest; confirm the terms attached to the chosen booking.

There is no separate children’s menu: children must participate in the whole menu. Chef-counter seating for up to two, private-hire enquiries and vouchers are separate options. Contact the restaurant before booking where timing, seating or dietary needs determine whether the meal fits.

Planning questions

Can I order the lunch dim-sum menu at dinner?

Dinner is Collections of China, rather than individual à la carte lunch ordering. Dim-sum courses within a tasting menu do not change that format.

Is a vegetarian menu an allergy guarantee?

No. The operator explicitly says it cannot cater for food allergies, and the FAQ describes gluten throughout and no vegan menu. Discuss intolerances and the exact menu directly before booking.
