Choose the cave-only or vineyard format
The four-wine visit follows tanks and the barrel cave in about one hour. The six-wine format adds a vineyard visit with an agronomist/oenologist, taking about 1.5 hours. The premium 12-wine format lasts about 2.5 hours and adds older vintages, vineyard and full winery context. Published prices are €40, €80 and €160 respectively. The cave sits beneath the family’s Mavrotragano vineyard; it does not follow that every short tasting goes into the vines.

Match food, group and cellar expectations
The operator describes Naxos goat cheese and rusks, with Aegean cheeses for the premium tasting, and explicitly offers no lunch or dinner. The Wine Library premium arrangement is for 1–8 people; larger parties use the barrel-cave setting. Organic and vegan wine descriptions are the winery’s claims, not an independent certificate audit. Vegan wine does not make the included goat cheese vegan: agree a suitable food alternative directly. Older vintages and the exact wine selection need confirmation for the chosen date.

Plan an appointment and the actual approach
The winery advertises year-round visits by appointment, Tuesday–Saturday 09:30–15:30, with private Sunday/Monday events by arrangement and at least one day’s notice. It is outside Pyrgos toward Emporio; the published bus-to-Pyrgos plus roughly 20-minute walk is an approach estimate, not an included transfer. Discuss the cave route, surfaces, reduced-mobility needs and restroom access directly, despite the operator’s accessible-facility wording. Use +30 6981107180 or +30 6976771711 and hatzidakisvisitors@gmail.com to confirm the plan.

Planning questions
Does the four-wine tasting include the vineyard?
The published vineyard visits are in the six- and 12-wine options. Confirm the selected itinerary.
Does a vegan wine description mean vegan food?
No. Goat cheese is described in the food pairing. Arrange any dietary substitution.
Can I arrive without an appointment for lunch?
No such arrangement is established. Visits require booking and the winery says it offers no lunch or dinner.
