Hertz Milan Malpensa Airport Terminal 1

At a glance

Hertz’s Malpensa Terminal 1 branch offers airport collection with a daily 07:00–23:59 timetable. Its linked rental requirements distinguish vehicle-group card rules, security authorisation, optional protection and prepaid versus pay-at-location rentals.

Choose a category rather than a historical price

The branch planner shows examples including a small Fiat 500, a compact automatic and a Mini Elite category. These illustrate different needs; the available category and model must come from the actual booking.

The planner states that monthly averages use the previous twelve months of Hertz rentals. Its euro displays and dollar/USD explanatory labels are inconsistent. Treat those figures as historical references, not a current quote or evidence of the cheapest collection day.

Read the exact group’s card rule

The T1-linked payment table accepts named Visa or Mastercard debit cards for a listed set of groups; other groups require one or two credit cards or specified combinations. It excludes prepaid, Electron, Maestro and several other card types.

The same page’s introductory wording says online debit-card bookers need credit cards at collection, while the group table supplies debit exceptions. Confirm the precise group and card before paying. Online payment acceptance alone does not settle the pickup guarantee.

Add the security authorisation to the budget

For Hertz pay-at-location rentals, the linked formula reserves the greater of rental cost plus a tank of fuel/recharge or €200, plus €500 without SuperCover. For prepaid rentals it starts from additional products/services plus fuel/recharge or €200, whichever is greater, again with the additional €500 without SuperCover.

The reserved sum is unavailable during hire and is released after the final calculation, minus charges; Hertz says the issuer can take up to 30 days to show it. This temporary authorisation is distinct from the rental price, liability and the price of optional protection. Confirm the figure for the selected quote.

Planning questions

Is the rate-planner amount a live quotation?

No. Hertz describes historical aggregated data and the planner has inconsistent currency labels. Search the intended dates and category for the actual total.

Does prepaying remove every security authorisation?

No. The Hertz prepaid formula still includes selected extras and fuel/recharge or a €200 minimum, plus €500 if SuperCover has not been purchased.
