What this guide covers

This guide focuses on high-end destination restaurants. It is an editorial shortlist for planning a special meal, rather than a survey of every restaurant, budget or cuisine in France. The list order is our editorial presentation, not a MICHELIN ranking or a numerical quality score. Start with your route and dietary needs, then check the restaurant’s current menu and reservation conditions.

Which restaurant should a vegan diner investigate first?

Do all these restaurants have the same cancellation policy?

No. Mirazur’s published conditions allow free cancellation until 15 days before the meal, then state a €450 charge per guest for late cancellation or no-show. Troisgros states €150 per guest inside 72 hours for standard restaurant reservations, with separate larger-group terms. Read the terms shown for your own reservation; a waiting-list request is not a confirmed table.

How we chose and checked

We checked MICHELIN’s published France 2026 star list and the official restaurant, menu and reservation pages linked below on October 8, 2026. The selection balances Paris hotel restaurants, a countryside estate and regional chef-led destinations with identifiable dining styles. These are desk-researched recommendations; this update does not claim first-hand meals, test bookings or an independent comparison of service. Prices and service schedules are the operators’ published information at the time of checking. Reconfirm them for your date, including drinks, dietary adaptations and cancellation conditions.

Choosing your restaurant

Choose Plénitude for a sauce-focused Paris tasting menu, Mirazur for a garden-inspired meal in Menton, or Troisgros for a countryside visit to Ouches. Pic and AM provide different regional routes, while Arpège deserves a closer look for plant-focused dining. The most useful choice is the one that fits your itinerary, dietary requirements and preferred menu format.
