Top 10 Hotels in Milan (2026)
Which Milan hotel should you choose?
Choose Park Hyatt for the Duomo and Galleria; Portrait for a seminary piazza in the fashion district; Four Seasons for a cloister garden; Bulgari for a private botanical garden near Brera; or Mandarin Oriental for La Scala and connecting-room options. Armani suits a designer stay on Via Manzoni. Principe di Savoia offers classic Repubblica hospitality, Palazzo Parigi adds terrace suites and substantial event space, Casa Cipriani brings a small hotel/private-club setting by the gardens, and Gallia combines Centrale access with wellness and meetings.

How to use this shortlist
These ten hotels form an editorial shortlist of different premium Milan stays, grouped by location and character rather than a measured best-to-worst score. Details were reviewed on 18 October 2026 using hotel-operator pages. The selections focus on premium stays. Room views, terraces, family combinations, pet conditions and spa or dining inclusions belong to the category and rate booked; the cover illustration does not establish a particular hotel view.

Armani design with upper-floor dining and wellness
Choose Armani for Giorgio Armani-designed rooms on Via Manzoni and the combination of upper-floor dining and wellness. A private botanical garden close to Brera
Choose Bulgari for its private botanical garden and setting near Brera on Via Privata Fratelli Gabba. Rooms and suites sit alongside Da Niko, the Bvlgari Bar and spa facilities. Choose your Milan base, then the exact room
For a short sightseeing stay, Park Hyatt is the direct Duomo/Galleria choice. Mandarin Oriental works for La Scala and fashion streets, while Portrait, Four Seasons and Armani bring different architectural and design identities to the fashion district. Bulgari’s garden setting and Casa Cipriani’s Porta Venezia location offer other ways to balance hotel time with the city. Gallia is the Centrale option; Principe di Savoia sits at Repubblica and Palazzo Parigi on Corso di Porta Nuova.
Compare the actual room name, outlook, outdoor space and bedroom arrangement. A terrace suite, garden-view category and restaurant terrace are different features. Portrait and Mandarin publish family combinations, while Palazzo Parigi’s Imperial Suite can combine with two rooms. Casa Cipriani’s Milan list includes a two-bedroom Executive Suite through its reservations team. Use the actual Milan category for the outlook and any outdoor space.
Compare the total stay on the same dates and occupancy, including breakfast, cancellation terms, local taxes, pets, treatments and transfers. Park Hyatt’s ordinary dog fee is nightly and category-restricted. Armani’s twenty-four-hour gym is separate from spa service hours. Gallia’s city-centre shuttle is separate from airport transport. For a corporate stay, compare the proposed event room, seating layout, AV and catering alongside the guest-room booking.
Questions before you choose
Which selection is beside Milano Centrale?
Excelsior Hotel Gallia is at Piazza Duca d’Aosta 9 beside the station. It has an indoor rooftop pool and a published complimentary guest shuttle to Piazza della Scala. That city-centre service is separate from airport transport: the airport information says no hotel airport shuttle.
Does every room have a terrace or garden view?
No. Portrait’s Studio Deluxe Garden, Four Seasons’ Studio Suite Garden View, Park Hyatt’s Terrace Suites, Mandarin’s terrace categories and Palazzo Parigi’s panoramic or terrace suites are specific choices. Casa Cipriani’s Milan list distinguishes courtyard, city and garden outlooks; its restaurant terrace does not establish a private room patio.
Does Palazzo Parigi offer a three-bedroom configuration?
Yes. Its operator says the Imperial Suite can combine with two other rooms into a three-bedroom arrangement. The actual combination, occupancy and availability must be in the reservation; this is not a feature of every suite.
What is Park Hyatt’s ordinary small-dog policy?
The published policy allows small dogs under 8kg only in Deluxe categories and above, with advance contact. It charges EUR 100 plus VAT per night. Ordinary pets are excluded from Pellico 3, La Cupola, Mio Lab and the spa. Arrange assistance-animal requirements separately.
Is Armani’s spa open twenty-four hours because its gym is?
No such spa entitlement is established. The operator’s twenty-four-hour schedule applies to the guest gym. The spa is on the eighth floor and has separate treatment appointments and service hours; the restaurant and Bamboo Bar are on the seventh.
What should I ask Casa Cipriani about club access?
Establish which club and dining spaces a hotel reservation permits, for which guests and with what reservations. Casa Cipriani Milano is both a small hotel and a private-club destination. A room booking, restaurant terrace or published club schedule does not establish unrestricted membership benefits.
How we selected these places
We selected these ten hotels for distinct Milan locations, architectural or design character, room layouts, gardens, dining, wellness and event facilities. Recommendations use current hotel-operator information and material category or policy distinctions. We did not stay, inspect rooms or accessibility, test service, hold an event, join a club or make a booking. The list is an editorial choice for different stays, without a customer-rating or independently tested quality ranking.
