A market-led Venetian meal

The operator describes Venetian cooking shaped by the Rialto Market and lagoon vegetables. The current menu includes whipped salt cod with polenta, sardines in saor, lagoon shrimp, crab, cuttlefish-ink pasta, bigoli in anchovy-and-onion sauce and seafood mains. Meat dishes and vegetable preparations also appear.

Examples from the September 2026 menu include salt cod at €21, sardines at €19, cuttlefish-ink spaghetti at €20, Venetian liver with polenta at €24 and grilled octopus at €29. Some dishes include dairy, egg, nuts or fish in sauces; an ingredient discussion is more useful than assuming a whole category is suitable.

Menu formats and price units differ

The fish or cuttlefish-ink risotto is €23 per person with a minimum of two people. Mixed grilled fish is €40 per person, also for at least two. Lobster is priced at €10 per 100 grams, and selected whole-fish formats specify a minimum of two people and a one-kilogram fish. Agree the actual weight and total for those preparations.

The à-la-carte menu prints a €5 cover charge. The separate tasting menu is €110 per person excluding wine, served to at least two people and to the entire table. Selected wine pairings are offered separately. Confirm the chosen package, inclusions and applicable charges; a dish price or platform average is not a complete meal budget.

Rooms, occasions and wider experiences

The operator describes original fireplaces, intimate dining rooms and an inner courtyard that opens in warmer months. It presents the venue for anniversaries, proposals and private occasions; a booking does not guarantee a particular room or courtyard table. Its early history and Casanova connection are operator accounts, not independently verified dating here.

Published wider options include gift cards, tasting and wine-pairing experiences, a traditional menu, cooking classes and catering or banqueting. The class route describes buying ingredients with the chef and cooking before eating the result, within a published 09:00–14:00 activity window. Confirm the actual session, party, price and terms.

Use the dining address and the actual pet conditions

The current dining contact is Mercato del Pesce di Rialto, Fondamenta de le Prigioni 544, 30124 Venezia; +39 041 721 822 and info@postevecie.it. The company footer separately prints S. Polo 1608, which is not the current dining-address label. Published service is 12:00–15:00 and 19:00–22:30, closed Tuesday; ask about the final kitchen order.

The exact restaurant listing on TheFork carries a Dog-Friendly tag. Treat that as published dog-admission information, not a guarantee for every animal, size, indoor or outdoor table, or date. Tell the restaurant about the animal and obtain the conditions for the intended service; a garden or terrace alone would not establish permission.
