The bay and neighbouring coast

Also called Baia dei Mergoli, this Mattinata bay lies on the Gargano coast between Mattinata and Vieste. Pale sand mixed with pebbles, high white cliffs and two limestone sea stacks give it a distinct setting. The bay’s sections and nearby Vignanotica should be located separately.

Hotel facilities and visitor access

The national park’s page, updated in May 2023, describes access by sea or through the namesake hotel’s rock-built lift, with loungers and umbrellas for hotel guests. Italia.it also describes hotel-guest or paid-pass access. Establish the currently authorised route or landing, pass availability, lift entitlement and complete charge for the chosen section; these sources do not provide a current visitor-pass inventory.
