A plant-based gastrobar in El Born
Bubita’s current restaurant is at Carrer dels Flassaders 15, Ciutat Vella, 08003 Barcelona, near the Picasso Museum in El Born. Its own menu describes the food as 100% plant-based, interpreting Spanish tapas and paellas alongside brunch and cocktails. This is a restaurant and drinks destination rather than simply a brunch café.
The operator’s story describes Roberto’s original project in Barceloneta and a later move to El Born after the pandemic. Use the current Flassaders address for the visit; the story does not provide a precise move date or establish that an older Barceloneta location remains open. The venue also uses the #Bubita and Plant Based Gastrobar names.

Tapas, plant cheeses and mini paellas
The current menu includes a Tortilla Tour at €12, Bubita Dips at €9, Smoky Forest hummus with mushrooms at €8, and Artichoke Crush at €8. Shrimpz Cocktail is €10.50, using plant-based shrimp and vegan salmon with avocado, soy pearls and a brandy sauce. These seafood-style names describe plant ingredients; the brandy sauce is not an alcohol-free preparation.
Other choices include Patatas Bubita at €8, two porcini croquettes at €6, plant-bacon dates at €5.50, baked vegetable fingers with romesco at €8, stuffed piquillo peppers at €7 and tamari tempeh at €7.50. EsQuesito’s aged plant cheeses use cashews and lupins, while the black-garlic fondue includes walnuts. Vegan cheese is not automatically nut-free.
The menu lists a trio of mini paellas at €30, with individual mini Marisko and Vegalenciana at €11 and truffled-mushroom paella at €12. Their seafood-style and chicken-style elements are plant-based; the Vegalenciana uses soy chicken. The €30 label is for the listed trio, not a verified per-person meal rate or a stated minimum number of diners.
Brunch dishes and the different service windows
Bubita Benedict is €14, with two plant-based poached eggs, brioche, plant bacon, avocado and hollandaise. Royal Benedict is €14.50 with plant-based smoked salmon and egg alternatives; the restaurant explicitly describes it as containing no egg or fish. The €14 Bubita Club uses soy chicken, vegan bacon and vegan mayonnaise.
Red Lips buckwheat pancakes are €12.50 with berries, maple syrup, cream and granola. Despite the buckwheat name, the restaurant declares gluten and nuts in this dish. Brunch is shown as 10:00–16:00. Check the current menu for the intended service rather than assuming brunch begins at the venue’s 09:30 opening.
The Bubita Vibes platter is listed at €48 and is explicitly dinner-only. It combines paella, potato tortilla, romesco, a plant-chicken skewer, plant bacon and dates, vegan seafood, peppers, artichokes and mushrooms. The page does not state how many diners the platter serves; ask about the quantity rather than treating €48 as a per-person price or a guaranteed meal for two.

Desserts, coffee and sangrias
Desserts include house cheesecake at €7, gluten-free-labelled mini apple pie at €6 served with walnuts, mango mousse at €4.80 and chocolate-hazelnut cake at €6. The cheesecake declares wheat and soy, while the chocolate cake includes soy and hazelnuts. The coffee list includes espresso at €1.80 and flat white at €4; milk drinks marked with an asterisk use oat milk.
The drinks page lists eight house sangrias at €10–€13 per glass. Morgana, Cleopatra, Monnalisa and Lola are specifically offered with an alcohol-free alternative. That option does not apply automatically to every sangria or guarantee a particular alcohol level; confirm the chosen version and its price when ordering.
Soft drinks include lemon or peach iced tea at €4, lemonade at €5.50 and passion-fruit-and-elderflower lemonade at €6.50. The wider drinks offer includes cocktails, wine, beer and aperitifs. Choose the actual drink and serving size rather than assuming a brunch, paella or platter includes it.

Menu prices and dietary requirements
The food and brunch pages state that prices include VAT. Tapas, individual mini paellas, the trio and the dinner platter are separately priced choices; the bill depends on the dishes and drinks ordered. Check the current menu for price changes and availability.
The Vibes platter declares gluten-containing cereals, sulphites, soy, sesame and nuts. Other dishes use lupins, cashews, walnuts, wheat or soy. The restaurant asks guests with allergies or intolerances to request dish information from staff. Fully plant-based or gluten-free labels do not establish cross-contact controls or suitability for an individual requirement.

Opening hours and the walk-in policy
The contact page publishes Sunday–Thursday 09:30–midnight and Friday–Saturday 09:30–01:00. Food-service windows may be shorter: brunch is separately listed 10:00–16:00 and the Vibes platter is dinner-only. Check the current service for a late visit or a particular holiday.
Bubita explicitly says no reservations are taken and asks guests to walk in. Its contact page provides a general enquiry form, which should not be treated as a table-booking route. For a larger party or a specific dietary, seating or access requirement, check the current restaurant information before going; a walk-in policy does not promise immediate seating.

The wider purpose of the venue
Bubita combines Spanish plant-based cooking with a house-sangria and cocktail-bar identity. It can suit a tapas meal, a paella choice, brunch or drinks in El Born, subject to the relevant menu window. Its account of moving from Barceloneta explains the business story; use the current El Born address and walk-in policy for a visit.
