Top 10 Vegan Restaurants in Barcelona (2026)

Which Barcelona vegan venue fits the meal you want?

For daytime vegan brunch, compare Asante and Morgentau. Desoriente Poblenou offers sushi and ramen, while Vegan Mount adds thali and Mo:Mo. Blu Bar, Vrutal Diputació and Cat Bar cover different casual burger meals; Grasa focuses on small plates and natural wine. Bubita brings Spanish tapas and mini paellas in El Born, and Gallo Santo Gràcia adds Mexican food. Rasoterra and Gallo Santo Marina remain separately documented as reported closures, outside these ten current choices.

How to use this shortlist

Choose by the meal, exact branch and service window. These ten current restaurant choices span different Barcelona neighbourhoods and cuisines. Two original selections, Rasoterra and Gallo Santo Marina, are retained separately with dated reported-closure information. Their old menus and another branch’s hours should not be used for a current visit.

For daytime coffee and brunch

For sushi, ramen, thali or Mo:Mo

  • Desoriente – Poblenou

Vegan sushi, ramen and sharing dishes in Poblenou

Choose Desoriente Poblenou for vegan sushi, ramen and pan-Asian sharing dishes. Tasting and 20-piece sushi menu examples are €45 each; individual dishes are also listed. Select Ramon Turró 209/local 2 when booking. A 10% terrace supplement applies.

Use the Poblenou address at Ramon Turró 209, local 2, rather than València 201 in Eixample. The current published venue window runs to midnight Sunday–Thursday and 01:00 Friday–Saturday, but the kitchen closes at 23:00. Bao, gyozas, desserts and cocktails broaden the meal beyond the two tasting choices.

  • Vegan Mount

Vegan thali, vegetable Mo:Mo and international casual dishes

Choose Vegan Mount for thali and vegetable Mo:Mo near Sagrada Família, with a broader casual menu for different preferences. Classic Thali is €10.90 and five steamed Mo:Mo €6.90. Wok dishes, burgers, sandwiches and bowls are also listed; different meal combinations have different prices.

Royal Thali is €13.99; grilled, chilli and soup Mo:Mo are separate from the five steamed dumplings. A burger is €7.50 with bread, €8.50 with fries or €9.50 with bravas. At València 506, published service is Monday–Tuesday 13:00–22:00 and Wednesday–Sunday 13:00–23:00. Wait for the restaurant’s confirmation of a reservation request; menu icons do not establish an allergen-free kitchen.

For a casual meal, burgers or ordering

For plant-based small plates and natural wine

  • Grasa

Plant-based small plates and natural wine near the waterfront

Choose Grasa for natural wine and plant-based small plates near the waterfront. Its menu includes two mushroom baos €18.90, cashew-cheese tomato tartare €14 and roasted mushrooms €12.90. Prices include VAT. The linked booking page gives the full Felícia Fuster i Viladecans 69 address.

The operator’s actual menu explicitly says Plant Based. Filled focaccia with cashew cheese, truffle, onion, artichoke and Heura is €15.50; ask staff about ingredients and preparation. Published venue hours are Monday–Friday 19:00–midnight and Saturday–Sunday 13:00–midnight, without a verified kitchen cutoff. Choose the wine-and-sharing-plate format for the meal you want, and confirm the kitchen’s service time when arranging the table.

For Spanish tapas, paellas and sangrias in El Born

  • Bubita Bar — El Born

Plant-based Spanish tapas, mini paellas, brunch and house sangrias in El Born

Bubita’s El Born gastrobar is fully plant-based, with Spanish tapas, mini paellas, eggless brunch dishes and house sangrias. Its current address is Flassaders 15 near the Picasso Museum. Go as a walk-in: the contact page expressly says it takes no reservations. Brunch is listed 10:00–16:00, while the Vibes platter is dinner-only; the venue’s longer opening hours do not make every menu available throughout the day.

The mini-paella trio is listed at €30, while individual mini Marisko and Vegalenciana are €11 and truffled mushroom €12. Bubita Benedict is €14 and Royal Benedict €14.50, using plant egg and salmon alternatives. The €48 Vibes platter has no stated diner count. Food prices include VAT; cashew and lupin cheeses, soy ingredients, nuts and gluten still matter. Four named sangrias offer alcohol-free alternatives—confirm the chosen version. Venue opening is Sunday–Thursday 09:30–midnight and Friday–Saturday 09:30–01:00.

For plant-based Mexican food in Gràcia

Rasoterra — current status

HappyCow’s matching Palau 5 listing, reviewed on 18 October 2026, reports Rasoterra closed in May 2026. The former 2013 bistro’s seasonal vegetable cooking, Slow Food philosophy, natural wines and whole-table fixed-menu format remain part of its history. Its older €32 or €33 menu figures and separate-drink arrangements are not a current meal quote or booking offer.

Gallo Santo Marina — current status

HappyCow’s matching Marina 212 listing, reviewed on 18 October 2026, reports closure in August 2026. Earlier operator information described vegan Mexican brunch, tacos, burritos, bowls and cocktails near Sagrada Família and Monumental. That former menu remains historical context. Gallo Santo Gràcia at Torrent de l’Olla 64 is a separate current choice with its own profile and timetable.

Choose the format and exact location

Compare Asante’s coffee and handmade breakfast with Morgentau’s broader brunch and weekend children’s choices. Bubita adds eggless brunch and Spanish tapas in El Born, with walk-in-only service and a dinner-only platter. Match each menu to the intended time rather than using the venue’s closing hour as a kitchen deadline.

For a sit-down Asian-inspired meal, choose the exact Desoriente Poblenou branch and allow for its terrace supplement and 23:00 kitchen cutoff. Vegan Mount offers thali, dumplings and a wider international casual menu near Sagrada Família. Gallo Santo Gràcia adds Mexican meals, a day-specific schedule and group options for at least eight diners.

Burger bills differ: Blu’s named burger includes potatoes, Vrutal adds optional sides, and Cat Bar offers combinations with bravas, salad or both. Grasa’s plant-based small plates and natural wine create another meal format. Discuss preparation separately from any vegan or gluten-free label.

The ten current choices are distinct from the original Rasoterra and Marina selections, whose closure reports are dated and attributed separately. Gràcia’s current service is not evidence of Marina reopening. Historical menus remain context rather than current offers.

Questions before you choose

Which venues suit breakfast or daytime brunch?

Asante focuses on specialty coffee, handmade vegan breakfast and cakes; its FAQ gives a 15:30 kitchen cutoff. Morgentau publishes a broader brunch menu, with 10:00–15:30 weekday and 10:00–16:30 weekend hours and separate weekend children’s choices. Bubita also lists plant-based brunch from 10:00 to 16:00 in El Born, with walk-in-only service.

Which Desoriente and Vrutal branches are covered here?

Desoriente is Poblenou at Ramon Turró 209, local 2. Vrutal is Diputació 200 in Eixample. The other brand addresses have different contacts and should not be substituted.

Does vegan food establish gluten-free preparation?

No. Cat Bar says all burger patties contain wheat, soy and gluten, and its gluten-free plates use a shared environment. Vrutal’s gluten-free bun carries a cross-contamination warning. The exact ingredient and preparation arrangement matters.

What extras affect a Vrutal meal budget?

The published burger prices have optional sides and sauces, a €1.50 gluten-free bun extra and a 10% terrace supplement. Fries are an extra €2.50; the chosen burger, side and seating determine the example total.

Is Blu Bar walk-in only throughout the year?

The current operator site provides a direct booking route, which displays Blu Bar at Rambla del Poblenou 11 and an October 2026 calendar. That does not establish a year-round walk-in-only policy or a confirmed table for any date.

Can Gràcia’s hours be used for Gallo Santo Marina?

No. HappyCow’s matching Marina 212 listing, reviewed on 18 October 2026, reports closure in August 2026. Gallo Santo Gràcia at Torrent de l’Olla 64 is a separate current restaurant: Wednesday and Thursday are dinner-only and Sunday is lunch-only. Its menu, reservation route and hours do not establish current Marina service.

Is Rasoterra’s former set-menu price a current dining quote?

No. HappyCow’s matching Palau 5 listing, reviewed on 18 October 2026, reports Rasoterra closed in May 2026. Its older €32 or €33 seasonal, whole-table menus with drinks separate are historical context, not current meal prices or booking offers.

Is Cat Bar a cat café, and how does ordering work?

The operator describes a vegan beer and burger bar named after the owner’s daughter. Order and pay at the bar; the largest table holds eight. Kitchen service has its own window within the bar’s opening hours.

Which new choice has Spanish paellas and takes no reservations?

Bubita Bar at Flassaders 15 in El Born lists plant-based tapas and mini paellas and explicitly takes walk-ins only. The mini-paella trio is €30; the €48 Vibes platter is dinner-only and has no stated diner count. Brunch is 10:00–16:00, distinct from the venue’s longer opening hours.

What should a group check before choosing Gallo Santo Gràcia?

The published group menus require at least eight diners and display €23, €25 and €32 options, with sharing quantities and drink allowances. Confirm the price basis, portions, chosen service and current terms. Wednesday/Thursday have no published lunch service, and Sunday has no dinner window. Catering is a separate enquiry.

How we selected these places

We compared the published operator menus, exact locations, guest information and linked booking or ordering routes. Original sources reviewed on 18 October 2026 retain that date; Bubita and Gallo Santo Gràcia sources were reviewed on 20 October. The groups express editorial fit for different meals, rather than a firsthand tasting or a measured quality league table. Rasoterra and Gallo Santo Marina remain attributed reported-closure contexts outside the ten current choices. A plant-based or gluten-free label does not establish allergy handling, and a published opening or booking route does not guarantee a table.
