Choose the plan and the actual dishes

Published minimums are two meals per day: six meals on a three-day plan, ten on five days and twelve on six. The plans page advertises weekly starts of £35, £52 and £60, respectively; those marketing starts do not establish a normal delivered basket for your chosen mains.

In the current Balanced menu, Mediterranean Baked Sea Bass is 389g with 572 kcal, 34.14g protein, 9.63g fibre, 5.26g saturates and 1.64g salt. Tomato & Basil Butterbean & Butternut Bowl is 467g with 515 kcal, 17.69g protein, 19.55g fibre, 5.95g saturates and 1.17g salt. These are examples, not averages for the range.

Delivery, storage and changed plans

The dedicated fee article applies free delivery above £40 for Sunday and above £30 for Wednesday, with £6 below each threshold. The general FAQ instead describes £40 for three-day plans and £70 across five/six-day plans; even the exact £40 boundary is worded differently. Check every actual delivery charge, including upgrades.

Keep meals refrigerated at 0–5°C and use the individual label. General guidance says four days, dedicated help up to six with some shorter, while other marketing says up to seven. None extends a dish’s use-by date. Tuesday 20:00 is the published Sunday/Monday change deadline; Friday 20:00 applies to Wednesday. Cancelling does not remove paid-for boxes and can lose loyalty rewards.

Coverage, halal conditions and allergens

Delivery help covers England, Wales and mainland Scotland, excluding Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Scottish islands; terms also mention Highland exceptions. Confirm the exact postcode.

Frive says its meat comes from halal-certified slaughterhouses, but identifies non-halal Borough Broth organic stocks/broths and Press collagen shots, plus other kitchen ingredients some customers may not accept. The broth notice retains a target first-delivery date of Sunday 11 October subject to change. Ask about selected dishes; this is not finished-menu or kitchen halal certification. Shared premises and equipment also mean dietary filters do not guarantee freedom from allergen traces. Contact hello@frive.co.uk for unresolved label or order questions.

Planning questions

Is Frive a meal kit?

No. It supplies cooked meals for reheating. A three-day plan starts at six meals; check the actual heating and storage label.

Can I treat its whole menu as halal-certified or allergen-free?

No. Stock/broth and collagen-shot exceptions apply to its halal meat-sourcing statement, and shared-kitchen conditions remain relevant to allergens. Check the actual ingredients and dietary requirement.

Which storage and delivery statement should I use?

Use each meal’s label and every charge shown on the actual order. Public pages disagree on shelf life and delivery thresholds; ask Frive when either remains unclear.
