Airport collection and delayed arrivals
Payless is in Suite 412 of the RCC, reached by MIA Mover. Its shuttle-information directions place the counter straight ahead on level 4. The branch lists 24-hour opening and the same pickup/return facility. Generic after-hours text describes a locked car and key/contract dropbox, with the renter responsible until check-in; obtain the actual MIA handover instructions. Reservation-hold wording distinguishes corporate airport arrivals, with up to 24 hours beyond scheduled pickup, from licensee and non-airport locations, which use the scheduled calendar day. Match the reservation’s applicable rule if a delay crosses midnight.

Age, licence and payment holds
The local age panel permits ages 21–24, with a major credit card, in specified car groups for a $25 daily surcharge; debit pickup starts at 25 and is group-restricted. It requires the renter’s own card, return-airline proof and a credit check, with extra ID possible. Non-US drivers need the licence and specified passport or Canadian enhanced-licence documentation; obtain translation/IDP instructions for the licence language. Credit/debit panels describe estimated charges plus $200 for short rentals, potentially $300 for longer debit rentals, and $250 after debit prepayment. Prepay wording separately gives $150 for a short-rental credit hold. Those figures conflict, so obtain the actual hold before paying. Prepaid/gift cards are not pickup credentials.
Tolls, fuel and additional drivers
The current MIA toll panel gives standard e-Toll at $7.95 per use day, capped at $39.75 per contract, plus tolls at the stated maximum non-discounted or cash rate. Its separate Unlimited option charges every rental day, with a location-dependent price. The fuel choices are a prepaid tank without unused-fuel refund or self-refilling to avoid the refuelling fee. Additional drivers generally must be 25 or older; the local panel gives $13/day with named exemptions, including a qualifying spouse or domestic partner. The quote must state the mileage allowance; no universal unlimited-mileage offer is established here.
Prepaid cancellation, coverage and the complete cost
MIA’s current prepay panel gives a $50 cancellation fee at least 48 hours ahead, or forfeiture of the smaller prepaid amount. Failing to cancel 48 hours ahead, or failing to rent, forfeits prepayment under that wording. This differs from a generic one-hour cancellation notice; use the booked rate and original channel. Optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), liability products and coverage-proof requirements are distinct: the general FAQ asks for written liability and vehicle-damage cover proof, while the branch’s liability product is optional. Obtain the required documentation and exclusions for the booking, then compare taxes, airport charges, fuel, tolls, selected protection and driver fees together.
