Tanjore Restaurant at Danat Al Ain Resort

At a glance

Tanjore is the Indian restaurant described by Experience Abu Dhabi and Visit Al Ain at Danat Al Ain Resort. Those tourism pages retain its tandoori and curry identity, but the hotel’s current English dining collection and digital menu directory do not list it. Current Tanjore service is unconfirmed; its absence from those lists does not establish permanent closure.

The original Danat Indian restaurant

Experience Abu Dhabi and its linked Visit Al Ain page name Tanjore at Danat Al Ain Resort on Nyadat Street. They describe Indian food using traditional tandoori clay ovens, alongside traditional ingredients in more modern dishes.

The tourism description names onion bhajiya, paneer dishes and shorba soups; chicken korma, lamb vindaloo and lobster masala; vegetarian paneer and aubergine dishes; rice, raita, naan, roti and paratha; and kulfi or rasmalai. These are the tourism page’s undated dining examples, rather than a verified current menu, price list or available meal.

What the hotel currently lists

The current English Danat dining collection names Arabesque Restaurant, a separate Arabesque Café, the Pool Bar, Tea Lounge, Shooters, Luce and the Old Fox Pub. Its branded digital dining directory also lists other named outlets and does not include Tanjore.

Those omissions leave Tanjore’s present service unresolved; they are not a hotel closure announcement. No conversion to another restaurant, relocation, replacement operator or reopening has been established. A tourism page’s open-now or 24-hour display does not settle the conflicting restaurant information.

Use the hotel contact for an exact Tanjore answer

Danat currently publishes +971 3 704 6000 and Al Salam Street, Al Ain for the resort. This is the hotel’s general contact; obtain a Tanjore-specific service answer. The tourism pages retain Nyadat Street and a Tanjore departmental email, but neither demonstrates that the restaurant or mailbox is currently serving guests.

Ask specifically whether Tanjore operates under that name and where it is within the resort. If the hotel confirms service, establish the actual menu and meal session, kitchen times, portions, complete charges, seating and any accepted ingredient or preparation request.

How it fits an Al Ain dining plan

The Al Ain guide retains Tanjore’s original Indian dining context separately from its current recommendations. Its hotel setting and published tandoori, curry, bread and dessert purpose remain useful for identifying an older reference.

A different Danat outlet has its own food and service arrangements. Choosing one does not establish continuity with Tanjore, and the hotel’s present restaurant descriptions should not be relabelled as a current Tanjore menu.
